The building in which the “Elia House” is currently housed was the house that Antonia Kobogianni and Antonis Bitsios built in the late 1940s and in which they lived for more than 70 years.
They joined the bonds of marriage in the year 1941 and initially stayed for a few years, in the old house that existed in the same place, a small ground floor, built several years ago, from handmade bricks of the time.
The old house was Antonia’s paternal house. Then and as the family began to grow, the old house was torn down and built from scratch, on the exact same spot the two-story stone building, which stands unchanged to this day!
Antonia and Antonis Bitsios had three children, Alexandra, Tasos and Chariklia, and despite the adversities of the time and the difficulties of rural life, over the years they lived together happily and fully, until their old age.
They were a particularly beloved couple for the wider region, who are fondly remembered by all who met them.
