hi

Christina and Tasos, together with their son Panos, are the hosts of the small guesthouse "Elia House Nafpaktos".

“Elia House” was Tasos’s parental home, which Christina, with a lot of love and with the help of the whole family, turned into this beautiful complex of three independent apartments, in which you will feel as if you are at home .

Panos

Panos, a mathematician, lives and works in Nafpaktos as a teacher in secondary schools.

Together with his parents, they form the team of “Elia House Nafpaktos”!

He likes to walk and photograph the picturesque cobbled streets of the old town. He spends time with his good friends and is actively involved in the city he lives in. In the summers, he likes to visit the beautiful beaches of the area and also goes fishing!

He is always available to talk to you and inform you about anything you need during your stay.

He is well aware of the quality dining options, both in Nafpaktos and in the wider area.He will also tell you where you can enjoy your coffee with a great view but also where you can enjoy your drink or a good glass of wine.

Christina & Tasos

Tasos is a retired agronomist from the agricultural bank and in his free time he is an amateur fisherman! He has his boat on the nearby beach of Chiliados! On Sundays, he watches football with his friends.

Christina is a craftswoman and for several years she worked as a maker of handmade jewelry, children’s clothes and toys, and in recent years she has been fascinated by furniture restoration! In the apartments you will find several of the antiques she has curated and brought back to life! In her spare time she enjoys painting, usually in collaboration with her grandchildren!

Together they have had four children and to date, three grandchildren! They live permanently in Nafpaktos and are always available during your stay to give you the necessary information about the house and the area, as well as to advise you on your choices of beaches, quality restaurants, and much more!

History

The building in which the “Elia House” is currently housed was the house that Antonia Kobogianni and Antonis Bitsios built in the late 1940s and in which they lived for more than 70 years.

They joined the bonds of marriage in the year 1941 and initially stayed for a few years, in the old house that existed in the same place, a small ground floor, built several years ago, from handmade bricks of the time.

The old house was Antonia’s paternal house. Then and as the family began to grow, the old house was torn down and built from scratch, on the exact same spot the two-story stone building, which stands unchanged to this day!

Antonia and Antonis Bitsios had three children, Alexandra, Tasos and Chariklia, and despite the adversities of the time and the difficulties of rural life, over the years they lived together happily and fully, until their old age.

They were a particularly beloved couple for the wider region, who are fondly remembered by all who met them.
