Starting from Managouli, heading south, you can go for a walk or a bike ride in nature,
among estates planted with olive, orange and lemon trees or clover crops, and reach the small settlement with the few houses on the sea, called Koutsoukia.
The plain of Mornos extends west of the Mornos River, in the area of Xiropigados and up to the Ska stream in Nafpaktos, which belongs to the Municipality of Nafpaktia, and east of the Mornos River, up to the Kokkinos Rock in Monastiraki, which belongs to the Municipality of Doris.
To the north, it is bounded by the hills of Faneromeni, Kastraki and Daphne. To the south, it is bounded by the Gulf of Corinth. East of Mornos, the area is approximately 20 000 hectares and west of the river, the area is approximately 10 000 hectares. In the plain there is arable land, a wetland and on the banks of the river, a natural ecosystem. Most of the plain is protected by the Natura Convention. Within the plain there are villages and settlements, the main ones being Malamata, Agios Polycarp, Managouli, Logos and Chiliadou. For several years now, for various reasons, the reforestation works of the Mornos plain have not been completed, with the result that there is difficulty for the farmers of the area to cultivate their own land.
Today, the main tourist activity in the plain is located in the area of Chiliado, where there is a large sandy beach with clear waters and sheltered from the west wind, which is awarded the Blue Flag every year.
Also, if you start from Managouli and head east, passing by the neighbouring Loggo and heading south, the road through the valley between the fields and the scattered houses will lead you to the famous destination of Chiliadous beach, which has a boat anchorage and an organised beach, which attracts a large number of holidaymakers during the summer months.
