First documentary screening: Sunday, October 23 at the Botsaris Tower
It is said that from the moment we are born, the place around us begins to quietly shape the place that is being built within us. Our inner map is shaped in response to our geographical journey, embroidered with our experiences. Place and experience are like communicating vessels. The place of origin is our beginning, the first background of life. The places we travel through seem like the successive brushstrokes of a painter tracing the gift of life.
One such painter, the artist from Nafpaktos, Yannis Artinopoulos, a passenger and tracer in the contemporary visual arts, has dived and continues to dip his brush in the seas of experiences that his life’s journey has given him. These are the traces of his work and his life, which will be presented for the first time in a special honorary event for the acclaimed artist, on Sunday, October 23rd at the Botsaris Tower in Nafpaktos, at 19:00′. The event will be introduced by the Director of the Papacharalambio Public Central Library of Nafpaktos, Yannis Halatsis, and a speech will be given by the Scientific Partner of the Modern Kotronis Schools, Dimitris Sioutis. The Mayor of Nafpaktia Vassilis Gizas will greet the audience.
At the same time, there will be a Painting Exhibition with works by Yannis Artinopoulos until Sunday 30 October when the second screening of the documentary will take place. Information here:
